Cross-platform functionality is a huge aspect of PlayStation Vita and with Idol Minds’ first game announcement for the platform, they’re no stranger to the feature. The team behind PlayStation Network’s Pain is bringing its new action-based RPG Ruin to both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
Shown off in a gameplay demo for both systems, Ruin is a constantly connected dungeon crawler. Events happen in real time, and the players’ ability to respond quickly results in more loot.
The PlayStation 3 version will work seamlessly with the Vita version, and vice-versa, as the game is always saved to the cloud. After you’ve saved on your Vita, for example, you can load up Ruin on your PlayStation 3 and continue from where you saved on the portable.
We’ve recorded gameplay for both versions from Sony’s presser. Check them out below.
