Ridge Racer racing to Vita
June 7, 2011 / 12:04 AM EDT / (@salromano)

Ridge Racer, a launch title for just about every system, is coming to PlayStation Vita. In development at Namco Bandai, and in co-development at Cellius — Namco Bandai and Sony’s joint venture on game production — Ridge Racer will feature “high-speed drifting at break-neck speeds in high-performance racing machines with new exciting new gameplay additions.”

The game promises to utilize the “revolutionary features of PlayStation Vita,” which include the dual analog sticks, touch screen and panel, cameras, and SIXAXIS motion control.

There’s no set date yet, but like we’ve stated above, Ridge Racer titles are known to launch alongside new platforms. See two artworks for the game at the gallery.

I was hoping Kaz Hirai would bring out a playable demo of Ridge Racer Vita.
