On September 8, Japan will receive the disc-based Resident Evil: Revival Selection, a collection including Resident Evil: Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4, upgraded to high-definition.

The high-def upgrade will retail for 4,490 yen (approx. $55 USD).

In Japan, the pair of games are being released in the same box at retail. The PS3 version requires a mandatory installation; the Xbox 360 version ships on two discs. In the western hemisphere, Capcom will release the games over digital distribution platforms as Resident Evil: Code Veronica X HD and Resident Evil 4 HD.

The PlayStation 3 version of Resident Evil: Revival Selection includes a download code for “Resident Evil Archives Special Edition,” which includes two digital Resident Evil archives books released before in print form.

New screenshots and artwork of the Revival Selection can be seen at the gallery.

Thanks, Andriasang.
