Kitase on Final Fantasy Type-0 localization

Final Fantasy Type-0 producer Yoshinori Kitase has commented on a possible western localization of their upcoming PSP Final Fantasy, Final Fantasy Type-0. According to the producer, the publisher has to be “very careful” in deciding what they bring over.

“As you may know very well, with the PSP market, the situation is very different in Japan than outside of Japan,” said Kitase, speaking to GamingUnion at E3. “We are having to be very very careful in how we decide what would be the best way to deliver the game to all the gamers.”

Kitase asked that fans remain patient until they can confirm a release.

“At the moment I can’t give you any confirmed decision, so please be patient for a little bit longer.”

If it means anything, just about every Square Enix game for PSP has hit our shores. Combining that logic with the fact that it’s Final Fantasy, I see no reason why Final Fantasy Type-0 wouldn’t be localized.
