Namco Bandai held a Tales series presentation at the Japan Expo in Paris today, highlighted by three titles, two of which are confirmed for western release.
Series producer Hideo Baba was on location to present the new material, which began with Tales of the Abyss for Nintendo 3DS. New images and a trailer of the upcoming remake were shown, and a pamphlet handed out to attendees confirmed a November 10, 2011 release date for the game in Europe.
Tales of Graces F followed. A trailer was supposed to be shown, but technical difficulties prevented it from starting. Hopefully, Namco will release it online.
Closing, Baba touched a bit on Tales of Xillia, the upcoming 15th Anniversary Tales game currently only announced in Japan. The recent “Scenario” trailer was shown to the audience. Baba asked the crowd if they’d like to see the game release in Europe, which was followed up by enthusiastic cheers from the attendance. Although the question may have been a hint for the future, Baba made it clear that no announcements have been made regarding Xillia‘s localization.
The Japan Expo runs through July 3.
Thanks, Kingdom of Tales.
Update 11:49pm: Two videos of the presentation surfaced online, where we hear Hideo Baba say that Tales of Xillia will come to Europe if demand is high enough (according to this GAFfer — the audio is in French), causing cheer from the audience.
