Sega’s announced that Binary Domain, their new IP from Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi, will release in early 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game pits humans against robots in a fictional war set in 2080 Tokyo.

A new trailer released today shows the first ever gameplay of the futuristic third-person shooter, where we’re told the tale of a robot uprising and the human’s desperate need to stop them.

And it looks pretty damn good.

If the trailer wasn’t enough, check out a new set of screenshots at the gallery.

    Wow.

This game is getting soooooo overlooked, it looks freaking amazing.
And it’s being developed by Nagoshi(Known for Yakuza series) I bet the story will be great.

Don’t know about any1 else. But day 1 for me.

My mind is officially blown!!! Wicked Japanese sci-fi! Two requests: Japanese voice track option. & no ‘westernizing’.

I didn’t like the character design, they look to generic to me, quite simple if you ask me. And same goes to the basic enemies, rest looks awesome but i need to see more.
I don’t want another mindhack, and for the look is kinda like that, well maybe more interesting but the time will say.

That little chime at the end of the trailer is sick. I want it to be my official entrance theme. You know, for when I walk into any room — everyone will turn their heads, stare, and those little chimes will play as the camera looks up on me.

    Yep.
