Kaz Hirai: Over 69 million PlayStation Network accounts registered worldwide

Kaz Hirai, speaking to the audience at PlayStation Meeting 2011 in Tokyo, Japan, has shared the latest statistics on PlayStation Network account registrations and downloads.

According to Hirai, around 80 percent of all PlayStation 3 consoles are connected online. There are over 69 million accounts registered over PlayStation Network worldwide, who’ve downloaded 1.4 billion pieces of content.
