Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception was announced this morning. Hard to believe, huh? The first screenshots of the game make it even harder.
Naughty Dog has provided a bit more information on the upcoming sequel. The game offers a storyline that takes Drake all over the world in search for a lost city that goes by many names — one of them being the “Atlantis of Sands.” Father figure Victor “Sully” Sullivan accompanies Drake on his journey, ultimately leading them to the heart of the Arabian Desert. The journey, however, becomes a quest for survival after the city’s lost secrets are finally uncovered.
Uncharted 3 takes Naughty Dog’s physics, particle, and visual effects system to “a new level,” says the company. Both competitive and co-op online multiplayer will return with new features that combine with the single-player cinematic gameplay to create “a unique action-adventure multiplayer experience only found in the Uncharted universe.” The game also supports stereoscopic 3D.
Check out the first screenshots at the gallery. Warning: your jaw might hang for the day following your viewing of the images. If you’ve yet to see the teaser trailer, check it out below.

And here we go again for another awesome adventure with one of the greatest video game characters ever, Nathan Drake.
As Salvador Dali said ‘intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings’ There are many developers that possess Naughty Dog’s talent (not that many but still a few), however there aren’t many that relish a challenge as much as they do, and the visuals alone are proof of that.
In their modesty, they refer to themselves as a ‘bunch of nerds’ etc. but the truth is, between them, thatgamecompany, the Ico team, Valve software and Atlus (as well as a few others), they’re the guys keeping the creativity and boundary pushing in videogames alive, long may their work continue.
