Joining the ranks of many other big-name titles, Bethesda’s announced that the The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, debuted at the Video Game Awards this weekend, will receive an exclusive, ‘sooner than you thought’ unveiling in the next issue of Game Informer — set to reach subscribers in January 2011.

Todd Howard, who announced the game on-stage at the event, had a few words to say regarding the game’s announcement.

“It’s exciting finally to announce the game,” said Game Director Todd Howard. “We’ve been working for many years on Skyrim and the technology behind it. A new Elder Scrolls game has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to show it off.”
