You hate Gamebyro. I know. Bethesda knows. Hell, your grandmother knows. Luckily, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, announced last night at the Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, will not run on the engine.
A new Twitter update from Bethesda Softworks has confirmed that Skyrim will run on a “brand new” engine, rather than the Gamebyro engine that we’ve seen The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3 take shape to.
The company wrote: “Seeing lots of speculation about [The Elder Scrolls V] game engine. It’s brand new… and it’s spectacular!”
Good to hear. Let out your sighs of relief.
