Rumor: ZeniMax to acquire Obsidian

ZeniMax Media have been on somewhat of an acquisition spree lately. Within the past year or so, the company’s acquired id Software, Arkane Studios, Tango Gameworks, and MachineGames. It seems they don’t want to stop. So, who’s next, then?

Obsidian Entertainment, developers of their most recent Fallout: New Vegas, is next — if the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine is to be believed. The magazine calls the developer a “prime target” for ZeniMax’s bag of developers.

I wouldn’t doubt it, either. It looks like ZeniMax is really putting their best foot forward in acquiring well-rounded studios.

We’ll see what happens.
