New Mindjack trailer explains the kinks

A new trailer for Square Enix’s upcoming persistent online shooter, Mindjack, has been released tonight. The trailer does a proper job at explaining the game’s hacking system, which allows the player to enter other players’ single-player games online as either an enemy character or ally. It also explains the mindslave ability, which allows players to convert weak enemies to allies.
Oh. And it wouldn’t be a Mindjack trailer without raging cyber-apes. Check it out below.

While I think MindJack looks like a good game, I’m still very unsure about this hacking into SP game’s idea. I can see how it works, and it does seem to have some interesting scope, but there’s something about it I don’t like. I’ve always thought MP and SP modes should remain entirely seperate; there’s always the possibility of idiots ruining your experience (which is one of the main reason I don’t play online MP).
Still, the game itself looks good, and I know that the ‘hacking’ portion is completely optional so in that respect, I won’t let it bother me too much.
