Mass Effect 3 officially announced

If yesterday’s leak didn’t give it away, tonight’s official announcement at the SpikeTV Video Game Awards does. Mass Effect 3, the sequel to January’s hit Mass Effect 2, is official.

The debut trailer for the BioWare RPG was just shown at the show. The game is out in Holiday 2011. Check out the debut trailer below.

Update: Platforms confirmed: Xbox 360, PC, and PlayStation 3.
