L.A. Noire trailer goes behind the performance tech
by [@salromano] at 03:59 PM EDT, December 16, 2010 .

Rockstar’s released a new behind-the-scenes video for L.A. Noire today, giving us insight into how Team Bondi was able to create the amazingly detailed facial animations we’ve seen in past trailers for their upcoming detective game.

The truth behind it is: this is completely new technology never done before in a video game. It took five years of research and development to perfect it for the game, which is likely why we’ve heard so little on it up until this year. It fits the game so well, too, as it’ll have players determine themselves whether or not the person they’re questioning is lying or not.

The game’s out in Spring 2011 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Check out the clip below.

This is going to be brilliant! The animations look fantastic and the whole theme of the game sits very well with me. Rockstar won’t disapoint here.
