Inafune’s new company named Comcept?
by [@salromano] at 04:16 PM EDT, December 14, 2010 .

Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune, who left Capcom in October, is moving on to greater things. Perhaps to a new company.

A recent tweet by an analyst who encountered Inafune in Tokyo’s Akasaka Mitsuke area recently claims Inafune, who he hasn’t seen in two years, gave him a new business card — one with the company name “Comcept.”

Comcept? Could this be Inafune’s new company? While he himself hasn’t exactly confirmed anything, it does seem likely that someone of his status in the games industry would start their own company, eventually. We’ll wait for his confirmation and keep you posted.

Thanks, Andriasang.

  1. too bad we probably won’t see a Onimusha 5 unless capcom DMC3 is working on it, or maybe a new Chaos Legion?

good luck with him, don’t like his remarks in the past but i still like his work due to Megaman X being my favorite Megaman game ever.

Please stay true to real Japanese gaming. Don’t try to ‘westernize’ anything. It’s all about heavy style & art…

I highly doubt the Mega Man franchise will ever recover without it’s creator. The creator of Sonic left and that franchise is always finding ways to nosedive and make the next game even worse than the previous. I wish Inafune the best of luck and who knows, maybe he can make a Mega Man killer like the creator of Devil May Cry did with Bayonetta.
