An image of BioWare’s next game, set to be revealed in two nights at the Video Game Awards in Los Angeles, has leaked. Obtained by CVG, the image is a still taken from the trailer to be shown at the award show.
The image depicts a woman, standing in what looks to be a huge pile of rubble, helping a young boy. Over her: a crosshair. The US source that sent in the image told the site the game will “have a lot of hardcore BioWare fans jumping out of their seats.”
EA confirmed to CVG that the image they obtained is from the trailer, however, did not confirm anything about the nature of the game — like whether or not it’s a Mass Effect title.
A small investigation from a NeoGAF member, nevertheless, reveals that the crosshair used in the still is the same crosshair used by the sniper scope in Mass Effect.
Early last month, Sony Russia tweeted that BioWare’s game was Mass Effect 3. EA has not responded to these claims. Oh, well. There’s only two days left of waiting, so we’ll figure it all out soon enough!
I’d say Mass Effect 3 is our best guess. I’m willing to bet ;)
I’m getting tired of seeing all these sequels though. SOMEONE MAKE A NEW IP.
Personally I think it’s a spin-off in the Mass Effect universe. Everyone knows how much EA likes to milk series dry.
