The first set of downloadable content for Tales of Graces F will hit PlayStation Network in Japan tomorrow. The content will cost 400 yen per costume and 100 yen per attachment set.
Tomorrow’s content includes The Idolmasters costumes for the girls and men-in-black-type costumes for the guys. It transforms Sophie into Eri Mizutani, Pascal into Ai Hidaka, Cheria into Ryo Akizukii, Malik into a detective, Aspel into a body guard, and Hubert into a butler.
Poor Hubert.
On December 16, a second set of costumes will release, transforming the cast into the school boys and girls of the “Graces Academy”.
As for attachments, tomorrow we’ll see the Neko (cat) Set and Usagi (bunny) Set. On the 16th, we’ll see the Megane (glasses) Set and Piyo Piyo (bird chirp sounds) Set.
Check out screenshots of the upcoming content at the gallery.
Thanks, Andriasang.

if only they port all the new Tales game with all the DLC on disc.
that would have been awesome :D
No offence really i read your site daily love it but -_-
Why the hell post this news? most of us already hate namco for not releasing games to us so why would we care what ONLY japan gets?
More Tales of news is like teasing with irritation knowing that we will never play it, screw jp imports…not everyone knows japanese.
You’re right, and I appreciate your honesty. I don’t know why, really. We have a big JRPG fan-base and this game is pretty big to all of our subscribers (pretty big to myself, even). Look at it this way: 1) I’m sure there are a good amount of readers who import games like these that’d be interested in the DLC it receives. 2) If we keep talking about it, maybe Namco will begin to understand that we’d like the game localized (if the fans that spam their Facebook don’t get to ‘em first).
The problem I had with Graces was that when I was reading through the comments on Facebook, someone put out massive game-breaking spoilers.. And now I don’t feel overly enthused to play it.
I tried the demo, and it was good.. The battle system was quite unique.. but the game style had ‘meant for the Japanese only’ written all over it compared to other Tales games.
I’m far more interested to see the unveiling of the ‘Next Tales of’.
@AdamBoy64, if the game was “for Japanese only” it wouldn’t appeal to me. Now if you said something like, “for ppl who like these types of games only” then I can understand.
There’s a pretty large JRPG fan base over here too. :)
No worries. I’m part of that JRPG fan base too.
I say that because Graces feels a lot more japanese-oriented than previous other Tales games.
You can see the western appeal they put into Vesperia (or Abyss, or Symphonia), for example. (particularly in the character designs) I can’t see it at all in Graces.
Hmm, I’m hoping that if they do localise a game (which we’re nearly due for now)- it’s the new Tales of rather than Vesperia or Graces..
I’d choose Xillia over Vesperia and Graces F, as well, but seriously *looks at Namco with a deathly stare* they need to localize all three.
Hmm, I see your point. My guess is that it’s developed by Team Destiny, who really has no experience with localizing or making worldwide appeal type Tales games like Team Symphonia does.
I’m super intrigued by Next Tales of (rumored to be called Tales of Xillia) too. But Bamco would be a gem if they localized Vesperia PS3, Graces F and Xillia…but that’s just wishful thinking…
I already have the game… and it’s pretty good. But I have to agree with the comment that it’s design does target more of a Japanese-feel. But I think there’s nothing wrong with that. Many people are interested in new cultures.
I am also quite upset that I don’t yet have the means to buy these DLC. :(
I think this would be your best bet: http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=japanese+playstation+network+card&_sacat=See-All-Categories
5000 yen translates to approx $59.48 USD. They go for $75 on eBay. 3000 yen is approx $35.68 USD, and goes for $50.
Why thank you, Sal. I was considering the JP PS Card for a while. I was just looking for a nice place to get them. Thanks for the link.
