WarDevil rebranded, back in “full production”
by [@salromano] at 08:12 AM EDT, November 18, 2010 .

Would you look at that? WarDevil, which recently ceased development, is back in “full production”. The game’s being rebranded under the name Project Kane.

UTV Ignition group chairman, Hassan Sadiq, said: “Following a comprehensive audit of the title, assets and internal team, we have decided that a core team responsible for the Project Kane prototype will take the game into full production, led by the key vision holders.”

“There has been speculation recently about this project but our vision has always been to create top quality content both with internal and external partners and this latest commitment combines the best of the DNA behind the original project vision with some of the creative talent available in the broader industry,” added Sadiq.

Sadiq also mentioned that outsourcing is part of the development plan.

Project Kane design director, Julian Glover, assures fans that the game has a strong development team behind it, saying: “We have cherry picked from some of the world’s best teams to build our UK studio which includes personnel whose combined previous development credits include Burnout 3, Crysis, LittleBigPlanet, and Heavenly Sword. We are extremely excited to fast-track development of Project Kane.”

Thanks, Edge.

I’m sure it will turn out sub par. If it had all the potential it supposedly has (even though no ones really played it, nor have we seen anything) I’m sure it wouldn’t be going in and out of production.
