Spelunker HD finally hits PSN today
by [@salromano] at 10:58 AM EDT, November 23, 2010 .

Believe it or not, Spelunker HD is finally set to launch on the PlayStation Network in North America today. The game, a re-imagining of the 1983 platforming classic, originally launched on the Japanese PlayStation Network on March 26, 2009.

Spelunker HD features brand new high-definition visuals, over 100 new levels, and both co-op and competitive multiplayer modes for up to six players. The game has players navigating labyrinths in order to reach an ancient statue. Along the way, players will fight enemies, detonate bombs, using mining equipment, and collect items.

Those who’ve never played the classic NES game, worry not, as it’s included with Spelunker HD.

The game is available today on the PlayStation Store for $9.99.

Man, I just might have to pick this up – I can still remember the original! I was never any good at it though. I like how the NES game is included as well, always a nice addition.
