Sony Cambridge working on new PS3 game in “multi-million selling franchise”
by [@salromano] at 01:21 PM EDT, November 9, 2010 .

SCE Cambridge Studio, known for developing the Medievil franchise and LittleBigPlanet for PSP, are working on a new game “in a high profile, multi-million selling franchise.”

The information comes from a recent job listing on PlayStation’s European job site, seeking a Senior Audio Programmer for the project.

The job requires applicants be “experienced in PS3 programming,” leading us to believe this is a PlayStation 3 title.

In July, rumors surfaced from UK gaming magazine PSM3 that Cambridge Studio was well underway on developing a new Medievil title for PlayStation 3. We’re not sure how much the franchise has sold, but if it’s “multi-million,” then this may very well be it.

  1. yes oh yes please

a new Medievil would be nice, please keep the humor in the game. add some new weapons(maybe a whip?). it seems alot of old games are being revived recently.

i would kill for a Chaos Legion 2 or Onimusha 5 though :|

Man how I would love a new Medievil game, such a classic franchise and very nostalgic for me. Here’s hoping!

Agreed PrinceHeir. Onimusha 5 I waaaaant. I’m scared Capcom will ruin it like most all of their other franchises though ;)

    Medievil will suffice.
