Kinect’s been out since November 4, and although we’ve seen the launch of many family-friendly games, we haven’t seen much hardcore games for the platform quite yet. Microsoft’s looking to change that, according to a “reliable source,” with the launch of Gears of War for Kinect.
The reveal will go down at the Video Game Awards on SpikeTV next month, says the source. It’s apparently in development at Epic Games, although the source didn’t say whether or not it’s an all new Gears crafted specifically for the controller or if they’re retrofitting the older Gears titles to be compatible.
Microsoft’s response? The usual: “we can’t comment on rumor or speculation.”
Gears of War for Kinect, eh? I’m having trouble seeing how it would work. Make it happen and wow me, Microsoft.
Thanks, IGN.

Will it be a trailer similiar to the early terrible stuff the wii did for metroid?
You all remember right? This dude was jumping around his living room, and taking cover behind the couch, in a very serious manner.
It was just awful, so bad it only made me laugh a tiny bit.
This is peculiar, I cannot think how such a combination would be feasible at all. Unless it simply giving hand signals or a spin on the active reload system, I cannot fathom the workability. Also of note is whether this is going to be an optional add-on for Gears 3, or an entirely new game especially for Kinect?
