Rockstar’s released the first new trailer for L.A. Noire since its initial announcement trailer from back in 2006.
The one-minute long trailer puts high emphasis on the game’s dark and violent mood. The detective thriller is set in Los Angeles in the post-war years of the 1940s, also known as LA’s most corrupt period of time. That fact is clearly displayed in the trailer.
Pay attention to the detail on each character’s face as they converse; their emotions are clearly displayed with each word they speak. Players will need to utilize this unique feature by analyzing their suspects’ faces and determine on their own what the story is in order to find out the truth.
And now, the trailer, below.

Awesome… Expressions and mouth movement look fantastic. Im really looking forward to this. I read awhile back in game informer how the city will be detailed and using real crime cases, etc.
Wow, brilliant stuff! I’ve been looking forward to this for ages and it didn’t dissapoint. I also hadn’t heard of the ‘real crimes’ idea mentioned by FinalFantasy_fangirl, which sounds very intriguing indeed. All in all, I’m sure Rockstar will deliver another must-have game with this.
Wow those facial animations are REALLY detailed!
haha wat part of that was gameplay??
You’re right. That was a tad misleading. I changed the title to better reflect the trailer.
