Bethesda’s announced the first downloadable expansion for Fallout: New Vegas, exclusive to Xbox 360, as previously revealed. Titled Dead Money, the content will release on December 21 for 800 Microsoft Points.
In Dead Money, players are victim to a raw deal and must work alongside three other captured wastelanders to recover the legendary treasure of the Sierra Madre Casino. It promises to offer “new terrain, foes, and choices.”
“We’re pleased to give fans a chance to expand their experience in Fallout: New Vegas this December with Dead Money,” said Pete Hines, VP of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “The release of Dead Money illustrates our commitment to creating entertaining add-on content for players to enjoy in already massive games like Fallout: New Vegas.”
PlayStation 3 owners, don’t fret, as PlayStation Network will probably get the content eventually, just like Fallout 3. A recent tweet from Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson also suggest it’s a timed exclusive, as he says Dead Money “is coming first” to Xbox LIVE.

Well, I wonder how much of a loss the first dlc for PS3 will cost them by making it complimentary as retribution for the most heavily bugged launch I can think of. But, if they were boasting 5 million shipped…..um , they can afford it, I am sure it is the publisher that forced it out the door or an all time absurdly poor group of quality assurance, because Obsidians other work is great.
I’d rather them expand my experience in New Vegas by fixing the game breaking bugs dozens of hours into the main quest so I can actually finish the game, rather than expanding my experiences in New Vegas by offering to let me give them $10 for more broken content.
