
Deus Ex: Human Revolution is getting a collector’s edition, Square Enix has announced today. The “Augmented Edition” of the game will be available at launch for $69.99.
Along with a copy of the game, the Augmented Edition’s contents include:
- A 40-page artbook.
- Exclusive bonus DVD — making of, special trailers, animated storyboard of CGI trailer and soundtrack.
- Premium packaging.
- Motion graphic novel.
Also announced by the firm are the game’s pre-order bonuses. There are two pre-order packs available to consumers — one exclusive to GameStop, the other available at participating retailers. Their contents are listed below.
Explosive Mission Pack (GameStop)
- An entirely new mission with special cameo appearance of original Deus Ex character.
- Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher.
- M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED).
- Automatic Unlocking Device.
Tactical Enhancement Pack (Participating Retailers)
- Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun.
- Longsword Whisperhead Extreme Range Sniper Rifle.
- Extra Credits.

kinda reminded me of The Matrix but more darker and futuristic. sucks you can’t play this game full third person, it would have been perfect for me.

Awesome! Exactly what a special edition should be (no lame action figure etc.) & $10 more is the highest it should ever go (not a ridiculous $20). I seriously can’t wait…
They could have come up with a better, more artistic cover image… Anyways, I’m very grateful for a (good) special edition. This is my most anticipated western title! (Now if Kojima would only bless the world with a PS3/360 SNATCHER / POLICENAUTS ! …. & ZOE 3 !)….
