Time to lift the veil on this one. We’re changing our name.

Yes. You’re in shock, we know. While we won’t dive into specifics about why we’re changing the name until after we actually change it, we will try and enlist your help in coming up with one.

I’ve been thinking of what to rename the site for over a month now and have come up with many, already taken options, basically leaving me at nothing. It’s poo, really.

So I figured I’d cut this whole secret thing and ask our readership for help. Here’s what I’m thinking: brandable and web 2.0. What does that mean? Made-up and altered words a la Kotaku, JoyStiq, Kombo, Bitmob, or Destructoid. I think their names are all fantastic (thumbs up to them). I’m not too crazy about names like GamerZone or AllAboutGames, etcetera (these are made-up names off the top of my head).

If you could kick your minds into overdrive and send in your ideas, we’ll thank you in the overall naming process (if your suggested name is chosen). That’s about all we can do, really. Maybe we can try and get you a free game or something if you come up with something we end up using — but don’t count on it or anything, I wouldn’t want to disappoint you if not. If it happens, it happens.
