Activision confirms 2011 lineup

We know. Not much of a surprise, is it?
During Activision’s Q3 financial call today, company CEO Eric Hirshberg has confirmed a slew of titles for Activision’s 2011 lineup.
This includes: a new Call of Duty for late 2011, a new Transformers game, a new X-Men game, more games in the Hero IP (DJ Hero, Guitar Hero, etc.), and an all-new property for kids.
There’s also True Crime: Hong Kong, which is still on for a Q2 2011 release.
Besides that new property for kids, do you think Activision will bring out anything else new? Specifically for the hardcore gamer?

The confirmation for yet another Call of Duty annoys me. By the time they have everyone’s money from Black Ops and all the DLC it’ll be time for another one. Again. I guess if you’ve got a cash cow you might as well milk it, but I still feel it’s unreasonable at this point. Not that the Hero games aren’t.
Anyway, I’m just ranting now. I’m sure they’ll announce pleanty of other sequels for 2011.
Ugh, this comes a day after that Discussionist topic about the annual releases! To be honest, who was surprised at this?
