The December issue of Game Informer is doing its job at teasing the magazine’s January company. At the end of the issue, a two-page spread for their next cover story teases the phrase: “A Survivor is Born.”
The background of the spread shows concept artwork of a giant ship sinking near some island.
A member on NeoGAF discovered a website linked to the game, which contains nothing but the image posted above. The scan from the magazine can be found below.
Many NeoGAF forum-goers are speculating its the next Tomb Raider, as the scenario of the franchise’s next title — leaked over a year ago — seems to fit the concept artwork. It read (via ShackNews): “When a sudden storm destroys her research vessel, a young and inexperienced Lara Croft finds herself stranded on a mysterious and remote island hidden off the shores of Japan.”
The issue will be revealed on December 6. What do you think it’ll be?
I hope it is a new tomb raider.
Hmm, it could be anything, couldn’t it? I would also love for it to be the new Tomb Raider, altough it could just as easily be a new IP. Or Uncharted 3 perhaps?

I think its the new tomb raider not only because of the concept art and the fact that she’s a survivor like it says, but in the feedback, you can see that people from square enix and crystal dynamics were there in the offices – maybe writing a cover story about the game. OH DANG!! I’ve figured it out.
ok. call me crazy but in all hope and anticipation. . . . .i am thinking the Boreallis. the lost ship that could tie the Half-life saga with the portal timeline. if your a fan, then i should get some reply’s. some of these other post make no sense. lol. i so hope im right. been waiting for valve to release more info, since 2008.
