That’s it. Super Meat Boy has officially finished development, as Team Meat announces the game’s achieved gold status. The game has just passed final certification and is on schedule for it’s release on Xbox LIVE later this month.

The team says it “feels pretty fuckin’ good and slightly overwhelming” to finally complete the game. They send out thanks to their friends and family for “putting up with our psychosis during this incredibly stressful time.” Of course, Microsoft also receives thanks, for believing that a team of two could accomplish what’s meant for a team of twelve.

Look out for Super Meat Boy when it hits Xbox LIVE Arcade on October 13. Unless you’re a vegetarian.
