Red Dead Redemption ‘Undead Nightmare’ DLC dated
by [@salromano] at 03:16 PM EDT, October 14, 2010 .

Undead Nightmare, Red Dead Redemption‘s most anticipated downloadable content, has finally been dated. Of course, it’s right on time for Halloween, debuting October 26 on the PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Marketplace for $9.99/800 Microsoft Points.

The content adds “hours” to the game’s storyline, where an overnight zombie plague disrupts the frontier causing hero John Marston to search for a cure. He’ll fight four classes of zombies along the way, each with their own unique attributes. Expect new challenges, quests and ambient events.

Undead Nightmare will also include new multiplayer content. The new Undead Overrun online survival mode will have hordes of zombies attacking players until they die. Think: Gears of War 2‘s Horde mode, except this time with zombies.

Additionally, Rockstar’s announced they’ll be releasing a standalone version of Undead Nightmare, which will include the Undead Nightmare Pack, the Outlaws to the End Co-Op Mission Pack, the Legends and Killers Pack, the Liars and Cheaters Pack and the multiplayer free roam modes. It’ll launch for $29.99 at an unspecified, but “soon” release date.

I’m down! Its bound to be better than dead rising 2 (which isn’t saying much IMO).
