Apparently Mega Man creator and Dead Rising producer Keiji Inafune isn’t too fond of working for Capcom, revealing in a recent interview that he actually hates his job.
After the interviewer suggested Inafune must love his job, Inafune replied: “It’s the opposite. I hate it! I want to retire early and take it easy.”
Inafune says that’s why he’s currently working as hard as he is. He says that they can take it slow if one likes their work. He could provide a small amount of work on a game like Dead Rising and get paid a high salary.
“There are loads of creators like that,” Inafune explains. “But I’m not like that. If things are difficult while they are doing it, they can become a leader and a creator.”
Maybe Mega Man Legends 3 development will help him lighten up?
Thanks, Kotaku.

good for him, i kinda wanted him to retire since he’s been causing alot of bullshit at capcom lately, DMC and other projects being lay to waste.
seriously where’s Onimusha 5? can’t believe he himself the producer of Onimusha would just forgot this series. also other IP’s like Killer 7,Strider, chaos legion, dino crisis etc. at least give suda back his Killer 7 so that we can actually see something about the franchise.
Keiji is amazing, he deserves to retire….after MML3 of course.
Maybe Capcom not making a new Onimusha game isn’t Inafune’s fault. Sure Capcom has a lot of franchises that haven’t seen a new installment in a long time such as Darkstalkers, Dino Crisis, Breath of Fire, and Strider. Sure Capcom owns the Killer7 name but Suda 51 made No More Heroes which was a hit. I think it wouldn’t be a good idea for another Killer7 if Suda 51 isn’t own board. I would definately buy a new Strider in the style of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden. I just hope Inafune stays on board because I don’t want to even imagine what will happen to Mega Man if he decides to leave.
Let him retire. But make a Legends 3 port for the PS3
