Gears of War 3 pushed to fall 2011
by [@salromano] at 12:49 PM EDT, October 1, 2010 .

Gears fans hoping to get their hands on the third entry in the series next April are going to have to hold out a bit longer. The Epic Games sequel is now scheduled for fall 2011.

In the statement released today, Microsoft states that while Epic Games “have done great work thus far readying the title for release in the Spring of 2011,” they’ve “elected to move the launch of Gears of War 3 until Fall 2011 to make it the marquee title for the holiday season.”

Gears of War 3 is in development at Epic Games exclusively for Xbox 360. By what we’ve seen so far, it’s shaping up to be the best Gears title yet.

Kind of shows you the lack of exclusives that MS has these days. It seems they must have moved it because they are lacking any high profile exclusives for next fall. It’s a shame, IMO, that they slowly but surely got rid of most of their 1st party developers (Bioware, Bungie, +more).

  2. Bioware was never a first party developer. I agree about the exclusives. Its pretty sad. I hope what Crytek has in store for the 360 is pretty amazing. I am excited to learn more details on that game.
