The first images of Disgaea 4 have come out today. Although we saw a trailer back at the Tokyo Game Show, this is the first set of images NIS has released since the game was announced.
You’ll notice a significant update in visuals from Disgaea 3; Disgaea 4 uses high-resolution sprites, keeping those ugly pixels away and that silky smoothness on screen. For those who prefer the old style of art, NIS says you’ll be able to switch between high-resolution and more Disgaea 3-like visuals.
Also in the images are some pre-order goodies. They include a Fron redemption code and a Disgaea 4 PR card for some Japanese card game.
The game’s out for PlayStation 3 this February in Japan and in Summer 2011 in North America. Alongside the offline single-player story, it’ll sport an online component, as well.
