After an Amazon leak late yesterday, EA’s gone ahead and officially announced the Dead Space 2 Collector’s Edition tonight. Available at participating retailers on January 25, 2011, the special edition includes several additions that make it a worthy purchase.

You’ll get:

• Dead Space 2 game (PS3, Xbox 360 or PC)
• Replica of Isaac’s Plasma Cutter with working LED lights
• Downloadable Unitology Suit and Force Gun
• Dead Space 2 Original Soundtrack
• Concept art lithograph.

Of course, those who pre-order either edition of the game will also get PlayStation Network/Xbox LIVE Arcade’s Dead Space Ignition free. Those who buy the PlayStation 3 version of Dead Space 2 will get an HD version of Dead Space Extraction included on the disc, as well.

No price yet, but we should have it as soon as GameStop and Amazon’s listings go live.
