Captain America: Super Soldier gameplay walkthrough
by [@salromano] at 08:35 PM EDT, October 9, 2010 .

Earlier this week, Sega announced Captain America: Super Soldier, a game which has Cap solving puzzles, boomeranging his shield and crushing enemies in a World War II setting.

At the New York Comic-Con, the game’s director has demoed and commentated the first gameplay of the title (currently in its early stages) for us, which we now bring to you.

Fans of the Captain America comics may notice a familiar enemy towards the end of the walkthrough. He’s been a bit modified to match the World War II setting.

The game’s out next July.

    • Not just that, but I was thinking he looks a lot like the kind of guy you’d expect to see ‘in the pub’, meaning WAY to ordinary/lame, Ninja Theory style actually.

I think the look Blur used for the Captain a while back was perfect. I hate to say it, but their artists normally hit the mark better than anyone else in the industry these days, and they don’t even make games, just CGI, but then maybe that’s why they’re so good at that. Still, as the guy said in the video it’s pre-alpha, so they can change his face still. I sure hope so as it actually looks better as a game then I thought it would.

Yeah, I hope they do a little work on the actual character look, but the gameplay looks pretty sweet. Almost like Arkham Asylum-style, but with a shield. And more flags.
