During the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix announced a Fabula Nova Crystallis press conference to be held on January 11, 2011. We assumed we’re likely to get new media of Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII at the event. Assumptions aren’t so necessary anymore, as Versus XIII director Tetsuya Nomura has detailed the event in the latest issue of Famitsu.

According to the issue, they will release actual screenshots of both games at the event. They’ll also take the opportunity to announce a number of new titles, including games that have nothing at all to do with the Fabula Nova Crystallis series.

PSP fans should be pleased to hear that they’ll also announce new characters for Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy Nomura promises other surprises, but we’ll have to play the waiting game until we find out what exactly they are.

He didn’t provide details on where it’ll take place, but we’re guessing somewhere in Tokyo. Wherever it is, Nomura says it’s likely they’ll allow for some members of the general public to attend.

Stay tuned. January 11 isn’t too far off.

Thanks, GAF.

If there is not a 2-5 minute trailer for each game, showcasing story and gameplay I am going to break multiple things in my house. SRSLY SQUARE-ENIX STOP MESSING WITH ME I ONLY HAVE SO MUCH EFFING PATIENCE!

Aww, still have to wait…i wonder if we’ll see this game on shelves in 2011 ? I sincerely hope so, but doubt so…

Hopefully. Maybe for Japan, at least.

Im tired of this, im not gonna waste my hopes anymore, this game its a xmas 2012 title for US (maybe) Square has made a mistake announcing this title too earlier.

This should be the last time they announce titles 2 – 4 years away. It’s also on part of the fan for clinging tight to their statements and vaporware. Both ends deserve faults, but not as much the fan when a game is nearly half a decade into development.

      Amen.

See ? This is the f*ckin problem. They announce games that’ll release in 4-5 years. People get all excited and the game gets extremely hyped. And when the game releases and it doesn’t satisfy the fans, they start giving the game bad ratings and start hatin. This is what happened to FF XII.

  • sll1cool1m

    sry, I meant FF XIII.
