Here’s something interesting. In Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops, Treyarch is implementing a brand new type of match called ‘Wager Match’. These matches will have players betting in-game currency on whether or not they’ll make it in the top three of the match. You make it in, you win money; you don’t, you lose it.

The video shows off the several types of ‘Wager Matches’, including one that starts players off with only a pistol and three lives. Shooting the pistol and missing leaves players without ammo leaving them to rely on melee. Certainly an interesting type of approach Treyarch’s taking here – challenging players skills to their last measure.
