Torchlight “hopefully” on PSN, XBLA “by the holdiays”
Runic Games CEO Max Schaefer has revealed that a console version of their hit game Torchlight is currently in development for a PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade release. He’s said it’ll “hopefully” be available “by the holidays.”
“We’re trying, we’re talking [to Sony and Microsoft] and we hope to get that done quickly,” Schaefer told JoyStiq during Gamescom.
The PC version of Torchlight sold over 750,000 copies. Torchlight II is currently in development. Shaefer says that they’ll “try” to get the sequel onto consoles after it releases on PC and Mac.
