Swedish retailers GAME and Webhallen have apparently outed the next installment in the Far Cry series. Not only do they have up listings for both standard and collector’s editions of Far Cry 3, but they’ve even put live temporary box art revealing the game logo.
Ubisoft has yet to officially announce Far Cry 3 yet nor did they make mention of it. The most recent entry in the series, Far Cry 2, launched on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in late 2008. Like the second, Far Cry 3 is listed for the exact same platforms. As for its release, both sites are saying 2010, but considering it hasn’t even been announced yet, I’m sure we can safely doubt that. Prove me wrong, though, Ubisoft.
We’ll send an e-mail to Ubisoft to see if they can give us a comment, but as it’s a weekend, don’t expect anything until Monday morning.
