Rage dated for September 2011
id Software has announced the official release date for Rage at QuakeCon 2010 today. It’ll be out across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 13, 2011 in the US and September 15, 2011 in Europe.
The developer took the opportunity to show off the game on all three platforms when they made the announcement. Kotaku had a full liveblog on the event. Unfortunately, there were some loading issues with the console versions – the Xbox 360 version even crashed – but id assures that these will be fixed before the game’s release.
So. Over a year wait. Not too bad, when you think about it.

Based on what they showed off at E3 I thought the game would be ready in the next 6 months, not 12 months (actually 13 since this is just August).
Oh well, I think we’ll have plenty of games to tide us over in the meantime. Maybe we’ll see Uncharted 3 by then. I can dream.
