Namco Bandai’s announced the official release date for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 today. The upcoming anime sequel will arrive in North America on October 19. A demo for the game is available right now on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 offers players a story true to the anime, online versus play, and an evolved Support Character system where players can call upon allies to help unleash special team techniques. Its three-part story mode will have players stepping into the shoes of Naruto, Sasuke, and Jiraiya. Over forty characters will be available to chose from in battle, including Tekken 6‘s Lars, who is making a guest appearance.

Look out for it, ninja fans, this October on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
