Following Game Informer’s September cover reveal, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive and developer Rocksteady Studios has officially announced Batman: Arkham City for a fall 2011 release on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.

Arkham City brings Batman out of the Arkham Asylum and into Gotham City, the new maximum security house for all of Arkham Asylum’s inmates. It introduces a brand-new story featuring “all-star cast of classic characters”, including Batman and many of his twisted villains. It’ll offer new and enhanced gameplay features and more to deliver players the “ultimate experience”.
