Avatars to be redesigned, says Rare

Avatars, introduced to the Xbox 360 via the New Xbox Experience update, will be getting a redesign, Rare revealed to OXM recently.
Speaking to Official Xbox Magazine, Rare’s senior programmer Nick Burton said that they’ll be altering the existing Avatars in favor of a slightly more realistic look to accommodate the console’s upcoming motion controller Kinect.
Described as ‘Avatar 2.0’, Burton said that proportions of the older, more stylized approach ‘broke’ players’ hand-eye co-ordination.
Presumably, players struggled to co-ordinate their limbs with their on-screen, virtual counter-parts.
Kinect will launch this November. We’ll probably see the update sometime around then.
