Looks like Namco Bandai’s putting that Ace Combat: Assault Horizon trademark to good use. The publisher’s announced the development of the game today, which is set to debut on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011.

Namco Bandai’s confirmed that the game will include both single-player and multiplayer options, but other than that, didn’t provide much more detail. A teaser trailer released alongside its announcement suggests Assault Horizon signals a rebirth of the franchise, ending with the quote: “This one’s a game changer.”

The last console Ace Combat to release was Xbox 360′s Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. This will be the franchise’s first appearance on a console in almost three years.
