Vanquish difficulty modes boast ‘Casual Automatic’
by [@salromano] at 12:20 AM EDT, July 29, 2010 .

Vanquish will have four difficulty modes when it ships this October. Director Shinji Mikami revealed them all on the Platinum Games blog today, specifically boasting Casual Automatic.

Casual Automatic mode is an “easy as pie” difficulty that will auto aim onto enemies rather than have you aim yourself. Mikami says while it does make the game sound “uninteresting”, it’s tempo will make you jump up and say, “woohoo!”

The other three game modes are simply Casual, Normal, and Hard. Mikami recommends you play on normal difficulty, even though “it takes some time to get used to aiming and firing enemies on your own”.

Sounds like the old “Easy Automatic” from the DMC series. It’s obviously not a mode that I would personally play on, but if it has its uses for certain gamers I’m in no place to complain. As long as the Normal and Hard modes contain a decent difficulty level. Though it does seem a bit “too” easy going by how it sounds…

This is very good news. They’re carrying on BAYONETTA’s easy mode. I play games for the experience, not any sort of challenge. I don’t play games to be pissed / frustrated / or get a headache. Thank you Platinum*..
