If this image is to be believed, an article in some random Japanese magazine has revealed that the Silver Surfer is next in line for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

This would debunk rumors of the recently “leaked” roster.

In the magazine, during an interview with Ryota Niitsuma, they reveals that the Silver Surfer is to be shown off later this month (we’re assuming August?). The only seeable evidence of his appearance in-game is a picture in between Dr. Doom and Super Skrull.

Apparently, he’s very fast and is never standing on the ground. Niitsuma recommends him for the more advanced players.

Niitsuma also revealed that the Fantastic Four play a major role in the storyline of the arcade mode. The final boss fight should be familiar to fans of the comic series.

Remember: take this all with a grain of salt for now. Until anything is confirmed, we don’t want you getting your hopes up.
