Halo: Reach Xbox 360 bundle announced
by [@salromano] at 11:15 PM EDT, July 22, 2010 .

Microsoft announced a new $399 Xbox 360 bundle at Comic-Con today. It’s a Halo: Reach bundle that comes with an Xbox 360 S dipped in a silver coating, a 250GB hard-drive, two limited edition wireless controllers, and a copy of Bungie’s last Halo game.

According to Major Nelson, the console will make a Halo-inspired noise when powering on the system and another when you hit the eject button on the disc drive.

Check out screenshots of the console and the box through the gallery. It’ll be available September 14.

Nice looking system. The more I see the Slim 360, the more it grows on me

The console looks nice. I like my consoles colour co-ordinated, which is why the Slim in black doesn’t really appeal to me…

    Like this colour though.

One thing I can say for Microsoft is that they love their bundles but it’s both a clever and simple way to continually give the console new life several times a year.

Why Sony doesn’t do this is beyond me but maybe it has something to do with the fact that it probably costs twice as much to produce a PS3 than it does a 360.

And like TezChi the new look is starting to grow on me too. I still think it looks too much like a PC and I still don’t think it’s as sexy as the PS3 or as minimalist-cool as the Wii but, again, it’s growing on me.
