Guillermo del Toro working on multiple projects with “big company”
by [@salromano] at 09:25 AM EDT, July 29, 2010 .

Guillermo del Toro, director and writer of movies such as Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth, has always had a desire to working in game. Just recently, he has said that he’s currently working on a “big deal” with a “big company” in the games industry.

“One of the things we’re announcing in the next few weeks is a big deal with a big company,” del Toro told MTV News. “We’re going to do games that are going to be technically and narratively very interesting. It’s not a development deal. We’re going to do it. We’re doing them. And we’re going to announce it soon enough.”

Del Toro couldn’t offer any more details, saying that the big company “would probably shoot me in the head.”

What can it be? Who knows? He’s a movie director. It could be anything. Maybe he’ll take the Spielberg path and create an original IP like Boomblox.

I’ve been waiting for this for a LONG TIME. Del Toro is my favorite visionary artist / director. A PS3/360 gothic fantasy title with his concept art direction & heavy stylization. It would be a dream come true…
