After confirming Ar Tonelico III‘s localization at a press event yesterday, NIS America has officially detailed the upcoming role-playing game. It’ll come to the west as Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel in Spring 2011.

Ar Tonelico Qoga is the final chapter in the Ar Tonelico franchise. It’ll place players on Sol Cluster, a kingdom ruled by an organization known as Clustania who’s goal is to turn humans into slaves and rule the planet. However, the two Reyvateils (humanoids) they require take sides with the hero Aoto and fight back for justice.

The game features a completely new system built from the ground up for the PlayStation 3. It’ll allow players to customize their weapons, items, and characters (personality, skill, and appearance) as they play. It’ll feature an action battle system allowing players to run and attack as if you were playing an action RPG. Of course, Song Magic will apply, which will have players matching the beat to make their magic stronger. The Cosmoshpere is a new feature, allowing players to combine character development with skill acquisition. They can go into the world of the Reyvateil and get to know the character while acquiring knew spells at he same time.

It’s out in Spring 2011. There will be multiple story paths for players to play, meaning your ending will change depending on how you play. There’s over two hours worth of endings, meaning you’ll want to play it over and over to get the most out of it.
