Older Xbox 360 models getting a price drop
by [@novacrystallis] at 12:46 AM EDT, June 15, 2010 .

With the arrival of the redesigned Xbox 360 model to retailers this week, Microsoft is looking to clear out stock of the originals and fast. What better way to do so with a price drop. Various shops are reporting that beginning tomorrow, all current units will receive a $50 price cut. That means $149.99 for the Arcade, $249.99 for the Elite, and $349.99 for the Call of Duty, Final Fantasy, and Splinter Cell 250GB bundles.

Obviously, these prices are while supplies last, and with the new model dropping this week, you might want to act fast if you intend to take advantage of this deal.

Hmm, so it looks like they’re going to do away with these original SKUs altogether, making the slim the only 360 you can buy. Thats a bit of a pain actually as I had gotten used to the Arcade for just over £100 being the perfect RROD replacement system.
