Jaffe: Twisted Metal in development for 18 months

David Jaffe’s confirmed on Twitter that the E3-announced Twisted Metal for PlayStation 3 has been in development for roughly eighteen months. That must mean development started sometime around January 2009.

Before the game was officially announced, Jaffe denied anything to do with Twisted Metal or E3. He said his game would be absent from E3 and that he “wishes” he were making a new Twisted Metal.

There must have been a shooting star or something.
